Founded in 2025 by designer and filmmaker Elizabeth Godar, Studio Godar draws on her experience across architecture, interiors, and film.

Godar studied architecture at Yale University before working in residential design at Leroy Street Studio in New York and furniture and interiors at de Troupe in Los Angeles. Her work has been featured in publications and exhibitions including Architectural Digest France, The Cut, Curbed, New York Design Week, Paris Fashion Week, Milan Design Week, the Hangzhou Triennial of Fiber Arts, among others.

Alongside her design practice, Godar has worked extensively in film. She served as Art Director on Chloé Zhao's Academy Award–winning Nomadland and as Production Designer on Hannah Peterson's The Graduates. She has also contributed to production design teams for films directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, Andrew Dominik, and Jordan Peele, working under production designer Florencia Martin.

Her independent films often explore the psychological power and memory of space, revealing the fantastical and taboo beneath the apparent banality of everyday life- the rich interior world of each individual. Her work has been recognized with a Vimeo Staff Pick and featured by Metal Magazine, One Point Four, and the Slamdance Film Festival.
